Bruce Sonnenfeld - Long Time Client-Driven Florida Programmer

Bruce Sonnenfeld is a Big Pine Key, Florida IT professional with more than two decades of experience in Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) web and mobile application programming. As a ByLight, Inc., Senior Software Developer, he focuses on the development of J2EE applications and services supporting the Loan Guaranty Program of the Veterans Administration (VA). Bruce Sonnenfeld has also created and written code for the VA’s Program Integrity Tool (PIT), which analyzes claims from a diversity of systems, flagging fraudulent activities.

Mr. Sonnenfeld is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego’s Teacher Education Program, and gained early experience instructing in schools. From 1989 to 1994, he was an electrical engineer and computer scientist with the U.S. Navy, where he used C++ and C languages in programming high-performance parallel supercomputer platforms. For many years, Mr. Sonnenfeld was a Key West-based independent computer and electronics contractor who delivered solutions to companies such as The Imaging Source Corp., Weddings On-Line Inc., and Progressive Systems LLC.

Bruce Sonnenfeld holds an MBA from Cornell University with a concentration on marketing and finance and a minor in management information systems. Having held a ham radio license since high school, he is experienced in building various radio transmitters and receivers.
